 vale of glamorgan walking tours

Our self guided Vale of Glamorgan walking holidays are not about bagging peaks, racing other walkers or even taking a route without looking up (we’ve all done it!) The Vale walking tours are for the traveler that wants to look up and enjoy whats on offer, taking the lesser known routes at their own pace and immersing themselves in the natural beauty that the Vale of Glamorgan and Heritage Coast provides, getting to know the landscape, culture and people.

There is no rush! You will be safe in the knowledge that we at Discovery Wales Tours have have made all the necessary arrangements for your holiday to run like clockwork. We’ve researched the best walking routes, picked the best hoteliers sampled the best foods and we will also transfer your luggage along your chosen path ready for your arrival at your next nights stay.

About the area

The Glamorgan Heritage Coast is 14 miles of unspoilt coastline and breathtaking scenery. It's tidal range is the second highest in the world after the Bay of Fundy in Canada, this, along with the dramatic blue lias cliffs creates stunning seascapes to rival any coastline in Britain!

All of this combined with wooded valleys, spectacular wildlife and 2000 years of human habitation, makes this coastline truly unique. Whether you’re looking for an easily accessible beach with family friendly facilities, somewhere for a short amble or challenging walk, activities to stimulate the children, or just wish to escape the crowds to remote location, you will find the perfect place to visit along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast.
