Coast to Castles Tour

The Coast to Castles tour takes place within the Vale of Glamorgan South Wales. We will travel along 14 miles of the 870 mile coastal path, the worlds longest continuous coastal path! Immerse ourselves into its natural beauty by visiting ancient burial chambers that date back 6000 years, that’s 1000 years older than Stonehenge! We will explore castle ruins and manor houses one of which overlooks the old medieval town of Cowbridge. Discover hidden beaches with beautiful golden sand and dramatic cliffs.

Tinkinswood Burial Chamber

Ogmore Castle Ruin

Dunraven bay and gardens

Monknash beach or Nashpoint lighthouse

St Quentins Castle or Old Bupree Castle


 Tour includes:

 Driver guide.       

Snacks and soft drinks.

Entry into scheduled stops.

 


What to bring?

  • Sturdy Walking shoes. sunscreen and hat(summer months), Swimming gear, Waterproof jacket(all year!), Extra warm clothing, Camera

13:00pm: Lunch at the Plough and Harrow

14:00pm: Discover the hidden beach at Monknash/Nashpoint lighthouse

16:00pm: Head back inland to the impressive St Quentins Castle/Old Bupree Castle

17:00/17:30pm: Arrive at Cardiff Museum
